Hakeford Woods CIO opened in 2015 as a Community Interest Company and operates from a beautiful wooded valley near Chelfham Mill 4 miles from Barnstaple. We run a variety of community focused activities including Forest School sessions, adult wellbeing activities, craft sessions and team building events.

We also offer volunteering opportunities for people who wish to be involved in what we do. These could include assisting with groups (for those with appropriate skills and experience), or taking part in seasonal countryside management activities such as hedgelaying, coppicing, controlling invasive spacies and river management.

There are also opportunities to join in with other projects such as pizza oven building, greenwood construction and more.
