A Devon-wide partnership building vibrant and healthy communities.
Devon Voluntary Action (DeVA) is a partnership of locally based organisations providing comprehensive support to Devon’s voluntary and community sector.
Our partners are currently:Involve Mid Devon, North Devon Voluntary Services, South Hams CVS, Teignbridge CVS and West Devon CVS. We also work with a number of other organisations to promote and support thriving, vibrant and healthy communities across Devon.
By harnessing our collective knowledge, skill and experience, we will help the voluntary sector to succeed and grow in these difficult times.
Our aims are to:
- Advocate and speak up on behalf of the sector;
- Influence policy and practice on volunteering;
- Support local communities to deliver local services;
- Act as an honest broker in bringing partners together;
- Continue to build community intelligence by maintaining local relationships.
Partners have pooled resources to provide the following services under the DeVA banner:
- Support to Volunteers and Organisations / Groups;
- Voice and influence for the sector through the co-ordination of the Voluntary Voice programme;
- Regular communications through digital newsletters and updates.
This support is provided through a combination of resources including this community platform.
Any not for profit group or organisation based in or delivering services in Devon can access the services provided by DeVA and anyone thinking of starting a not for profit group or organisation can access DeVA services.
