A.I.M.S. is a support group for families who have children with special needs. We welcome all members of the family from parents and siblings to grandparents.
A group meeting is organised most Saturdays where we offer a range of stimulating activities and various games to keep the children occupied, such as craft activities, music sessions, cooking and outdoor play. We also organise occasional trips to local attractions.
We offer a relaxing environment for the families and siblings where friendships are made without explanation. Some families attend each week, others come as often as it suits them – there are no hard and fast rules and we make no charge.

The AIMS story:
A.I.M.S was founded in 1992 by local Paediatrician, Dr Jill Diprose as a direct response to the needs of parents. The group is run by a Co-ordinator and a voluntary committee, which includes parent representation. Each session is run by three qualified members of staff assisted by volunteers. Our Registered Charity name is Dawlish Children’s Special Needs Group and we are totally self-funded.
