Does your organisation work in digital inclusion across Devon, Plymouth or Torbay? Or are you interested in doing more to help people get online, access services and tackle local barriers?

Join us for this free, first-of-its-kind event bringing together charities, community organisations, social enterprises and public sector partners from across the county.

This is a unique opportunity for the VCSE (voluntary, community and social enterprise) sector to come together, share ideas, learn from each other, and shape a stronger collective response to digital exclusion in our communities.

Why should I attend?

Digital exclusion continues to stop people from accessing healthcare, support services, education, employment and everyday opportunities. Across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay, organisations are already doing brilliant work to tackle these challenges - but many are working in isolation.

This event is about changing that.

Together, we will:

  • Share practical ideas, experience and what’s working locally
  • Hear directly from organisations and communities affected by digital exclusion
  • Identify gaps, challenges and local priorities
  • Build stronger partnerships across sectors
  • Explore opportunities for collaboration and collective action

Whether your organisation is already delivering digital inclusion work or just starting to explore it, your voice matters.

By attending, you’ll make new connections, gain fresh ideas and help shape a joined-up approach to tackling digital inequality across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay.

What can I expect on the day?

The event is being hosted by the Torbay, Plymouth and Devon VCSE Assembly Digital Inclusion Group, with a programme designed to inspire discussion, share learning and support action.

  1. Introduction
  2. Keynote Speaker - Emma Stone, Director of Evidence and Engagement at The Good Things Foundation. Emma leads the Research, Data & Insights and Communications, Campaigns & Advocacy teams, specialising in service design, user research, evaluation, data insights, marketing, communications and advocacy. With two decades of experience in research, policy, and practice, Emma joined Good Things in 2018 from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, where she directed the Policy and Research department on issues such as poverty, housing, and race equality. A social researcher by training, Emma uses her expertise in social, economic, and health inequalities to shape our strategy and delivery. Passionate about social justice and tackling inequality, she brings enthusiasm to partnerships and believes in co-designing solutions with community partners and those with lived experience.
  3. Mapping the Devon, Plymouth & Torbay VCSE Digital Inclusion Landscape
  4. VCSE Perspectives (short case histories)
  5. Lunch Break & Networking
  6. Collaboration Workshops
  7. Next Steps & Action Planning “ From discussion to delivery”

Refreshments will be provided on the day. Places are free, but spaces are limited - we’d love you to be part of the conversation.

Please note: we are aiming for a fair geographic spread of attendees across Torbay, Devon, and Plymouth, therefore in the event of a sell-out, places may be prioritised to ensure representation from less well-represented areas.
