For SOL (Sharing One Language), we are a charity based in Barnstaple North Devon. Our mission is to support the teaching of English in Central and EAstern Europe. Founded in 1991, it has brought more than 65,000 students and tachers to North Devon for short inspiring language immersion courses. Abroad it has recruited some 700 native speaker teachers to teach in State schools for a year and has enabled hundreds of teachers to benefit from our own training courses, run both at home and abroad.

The mission work abroad is set to continue, as well as our unique courses in North Devon which enables us to help so many that cannot afford to access the English they need.

Local trustees are sought as well as those elsewhere who may have ELT experience to support our team both home and abroad.

Meetings are 5 times a year. Full details on the organisation can be found on the website.
