We are looking for a reliable and organised individual to join our vibrant community
garden as our new Treasurer.
About Us: Our community garden is a space where local residents come together
to grow, learn, and connect with nature. We’re a passionate group of volunteers
committed to creating a sustainable, welcoming environment for all.
Role Overview: As Treasurer, you'll play a crucial role in managing the financial
aspects of the garden, ensuring our funds are used responsibly and transparently.
This is an essential position that helps keep our garden running smoothly and
supports the ongoing growth of our community projects.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and maintain accurate financial records for the garden
• Prepare budgets and financial reports for review by the committee
• Manage income and expenses, ensuring funds are allocated appropriately
• Work closely with other committee members to support fundraising and
grant applications
• Ensure compliance with any relevant financial regulations
Who We’re Looking For:
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Basic understanding of financial management and budgeting
• Passion for community-driven projects and gardening
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required
• A friendly, approachable personality with good communication skills
Time Commitment:
• Approximately 5 hours per month, with flexibility around gardening seasons
and events
