An 8-week open water swimming course, for people over 50 who have little or no experience of open water swimming and want to build their confidence and swimming techniques. Sessions are led by qualified and experienced instructors. Hot drinks and cake are provided at the end of each session.
For safety reasons swimmers are advised to wear a wetsuit, googles and a yellow or orange coloured swimming hat. Swimmers may choose to also wear water shoes and neoprene gloves. It is advised to bring warm clothes, or a dry robe, for keeping warm afterwards.
Course commences on 8 June, 11.00am - 12.00noon and runs every Thursday for 8 weeks.
The course costs £46 which includes refreshments after each swim.
Age UK Devon branded swimming hats are available to purchase at £5 each.
