Howdy! We'd love to have a few beady, eyed friends who are willing to read and provide constructive feedback on our draft grant applications. Word counts make conveying what we want to do quickly both critical, and sometimes quite challenging. Are we expressing ourselves clearly? Are we answering the questions? Have we used the right word? Previous experience of grant applications/persuasive writing is helpful but not at all essential. A genuine desire to help us attract funds to enable arts for mental health and wellbeing work, and an ability to help us express ourselves effectively are. Flexibility to respond to sneaky deadlines much appreciated, but we try hard to have reasonable and predictable timelines.
This volunteering role could also suit people interested to get involved further... or curious to learn more about us before deciding if you would like to get involved further! The way we need to explain ourselves to grant funders is (necessarily!) probably more thorough than any other aspect of our self-presentation. We'd love some helpers who can help steer us with using the right messages with other audiences/communities, or even advocate and recommend us.
If you could be interested please be in touch!
