A free event organised by the North Devon Voluntary Services (NDVS) in Green Lanes Shopping Centre in Barnstaple on Thursday 12th January 2026 from 10:00am.

If you are looking to actively help your community, by volunteering your spare time to help organisations in the North Devon area then this is an ideal event to come along to and to find out more. Numerous VCSE organisations will be attending and available for you to chat to about volunteering opportunities and how you might be able to help them in your spare time.

Discover how you can make a difference in North Devon

Join us for an uplifting event designed to reignite the spirit of volunteering in our community. Whether you’re curious about getting started or looking to reconnect with opportunities, this is your chance to explore how volunteering can enrich your life and strengthen North Devon.

Our partnerships officer Louise Flagg will be in the NDC Hub delivering a short talk on the benefits of volunteering at 10.30 & 12.30.

Why come along?

•  Meet local organisations who are looking for volunteers right now

•  Find a role that suits you — whether you have a few hours a week or just want to help occasionally

•  Connect with like-minded people who care about making North Devon thrive

This is your chance to meet local groups and find the perfect volunteer role in North Devon.

No matter your age, skills, or experience, there’s a place for you in the volunteering community.

Come along, bring a friend, and discover how you can make a difference.

Together, we can build a stronger, kinder North Devon.
