Join us in the Foyer of Barnstaple Libary for our Reading for Wellbeing Drop-In session (free of charge) on Monday 1st December, 10am to 12pm. And this time we are talking all about Christmas Food!
"hundreds of fat, roast turkeys," mountains of potatoes, chipolatas, buttered peas, and gravy... The Philosopher's Stone, JK Rowling
We will be looking at a variety of materials that discuss all the Christmas Foods and how they are described and make you feel - so feel free to come and join the discussion. You can come to sit and listen, join in the conversation or feel free to bring along any stories, magazines or recipes etc that involve Christmas food of any kind to share with the group.
What is Reading for Wellbeing?
Reading for Wellbeing is all about discovering the therapeutic benefits that can be gained from thinking differently about how you access stories to improve your overall wellbeing. Join us to explore how you read and open yourself up to the possibilities that this change in mindset can unlock.
Reading for Wellbeing is a programme set up by well-known author Ann Cleeves (creater of 'Vera' and 'Shetland') who has strong links to North Devon. Ann is the inspiration behind 'The Woodyard' initiative, a community project hosted by and through NDVS.
