Martyn’s Law, formally known as the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, aims to improve preparedness and protective security across the UK by requiring those responsible for certain public premises and events to consider the risks posed by terrorism and take appropriate steps to keep people safe.
The purpose of this half hour briefing is to provide Town and Parish Councils, local businesses and community organisations with

- outline key responsibilities
- highlight practical actions that can be taken
