Champion Local Business: Join Us as a Partner Liaison!
Explore Dartmouth is on a mission to showcase the very best of our town and surrounding areas. To do that, we need strong relationships with the businesses that make Dartmouth special. We already have 60+ partners on board but are looking for a new member of our team to take on and develop this key area of our work.
We are looking for a proactive, persuasive, and community-minded Volunteer Partner Liaison to help grow our network of advertising Partners and ensure our local businesses are getting the support they deserve.
The Role at a Glance
- Commitment: Minimum 3 hours per week (flexible).
- Status: Volunteer (Unpaid).
- Location: Out and about in Dartmouth/surrounding areas & remote.
- Reporting to: The Board of Explore Dartmouth.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you are the bridge between Explore Dartmouth and the business community. You’ll be the "face" of our partnership programme:
- Grow the Network: Identify and approach local businesses - in Dartmouth and beyond - to sign them up as advertising Partners.
- Relationship Management: Act as the primary, friendly point of contact for our existing Partners, ensuring they feel supported and heard.
- Deliver Value: Liaise with the wider Explore Dartmouth team (including marketing, socials and the Visitor Centre) to ensure our Partners’ content and promotions are being seen.
- Development & Growth: Keep an eye out for new ways to add value to our partnership packages, helping us evolve what we offer to the local economy.
On all these elements you will be supported by a member of the Board.

- A Local Advocate: You understand the challenges and triumphs of local businesses and want to help them succeed.
- Self-Motivated: You’re happy to manage your own 3 hours a week and take the initiative to reach out to potential new partners.
- Team Player: You can work effectively with our board and volunteers to make sure we’re delivering on our promises.
