Communications Support Volunteers create promotional materials for use in internal and external communications using photographs, animations or illustrations. This role also supports local policing areas and departments with their local engagement events, creating and designing web pages or social media posts.
Tasks may include:
- Supporting police personnel with the creation of animations and or illustrations for promotional material
- Taking and editing photographic images as requested, within the force’s brand guidelines
- Assisting departments and local areas with the creation and editing of promotional photographs to be used to promote policing in the force area
- Planning and assisting with local engagement events and supporting local officers and police staff with websites and social media
- Supporting innovative digital media methods to connect with communities
This role would suit someone who has skills in animation, illustration or photography. We are looking for two volunteers to support our Corporate Communications Team (one with animation or illustration skills, one with photography skills) and one volunteer with photography skills to support the Citizens in Policing Team.

Police Support Volunteers undertake roles to support and enhance the day-to-day work undertaken by police officers and staff. By offering their time, energy and skills they help address policing issues, enhance service delivery and strengthen links between policing and the community.

Travelling expenses will be reimbursed. Mileage is paid at 55p per mile.
We would not consider applications where the applicant lives more than 25 miles from the base location for this role.
