Northern Devon Inclusion Community Framework
How do people with Complex Needs access Opportunities within our Community? Encompass Southwest, NDVS and TTVS have come together to develop a new inclusion framework for Northern Devon which supports people experiencing trauma, multiple disadvantages and community groups and businesses to come together to create access to opportunities, increase knowledge and create a framework where everyone can get involved.
We are seeing more people impacted across Northern Devon by trauma, homelessness, poor mental health who are often using substances to deal with their trauma and getting involved in anti social behaivour. We want to offer something different but can only do this by working together.
How to get involved
As a start, we can offer the following training free or subsidised to community groups, local businesses, sports clubs and wider agencies to help them understand the impacts of Trauma, Rough Sleeping, Mental Health and Substance Misuse:
Trauma Awareness, Equality, Diversion & Inclusion, Mental Health First Aid, Adult Safeguarding, Managing difficult situations, Substance Misuse, Understanding Homelessness
In return we are asking for groups and businesses to work with us to develop a framework which can be shared across Northern Devon to breakdown the barriers and give everyone regardless of their situations an opportunity to get involved.
