Walking is great for your health and puts a spring in your step. Westbank's Health Walks offer regular, short walks each week across various locations across Devon.

Anyone can turn up and join in – it is free, fun and friendly. Explore the outdoors, get to know the local area and meet new friends too.

Walk levels

Short, Level 1 – Up to 30 minutes:

  • Local walks on flat ground or gentle slopes with mainly firm surfaces. No steps or stiles.

Medium Level 2 – Approx. 30 – 60 minutes:

  • Walks may include moderate slopes, steps, uneven surfaces and stiles.

Long Level 3 – Approx. 60 – 90 minutes:

  • Walks may include steeper slopes, steps, uneven surfaces and stiles.

We have fully trained Volunteer Walk Leaders and are always looking for more.

General Information

Please wear suitable clothing, durable, supportive footwear, and bring a bottle of water. As these are health walks, we ask that you do not smoke during the walk.

Most walks include a social coffee stop either during or at the end of the walk, at the walker’s own expense.

Walk Leaders may need to cancel a walk at short notice due to weather conditions but would always be at the start point to notify walkers. Walkers do so at their own risk.
