Join Friends of FearFree:  Become a Fundraising Committee Member

Are you looking for a volunteer role where what you do really makes a difference to people’s lives?

Do you want to be part of a team that is supportive, caring, and passionate about their work?

We are seeking dedicated individuals with a range of different skills to join the volunteer fundraising committee in your local town.

You may love planning events, are good with people, enjoy public speaking, or perhaps prefer behind the scenes organisation/ managing the funds you raise.

As a Friends of FearFree committee volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in raising money to supporting our life saving work, help break stigmas around abuse and promote safety and wellbeing in your community.

What we’re looking for:

  • Individuals with strong ties to the local community who can work together to organise fundraising events and social activities throughout the year.
  • Organisers who enjoy planning and hosting events such as quizzes, bingo nights, or music events.
  • Social media enthusiasts who can help spread the word about FearFree’s initiatives.
  • Willing participants in community outreach efforts, including distributing collection tins and our campaign posters.
  • People who love administration to keep the team on track and organised.
  • People who can create links with local businesses and community members to raise awareness and garner support, donations or sponsorship for our cause.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Flexible volunteering opportunities that fit your schedule. (Likely to start at 1 hour a week, can be virtual or in person dependant on your group, may increase around event planning season.)
  • A chance to meet new people and make lifelong friendships.
  • Gain valuable skills and experience in fundraising and community outreach.
  • The satisfaction of knowing you’re making a difference in the lives of those affected by domestic abuse.
  • Full training and ongoing guidance and support with the Fundraising Manager.

Join us in creating a safer and more supportive community for everyone and be part of the FearFree family. Together, we can make a real difference and ensure our future generation gets the help they need from us to live free from fear.
