This fun, interactive workshop will equip you to easily and safely make your own fermented foods and preserves. They are suitable for complete beginners, but experienced preservers of food will also learn lots and meet like minded people.
The day.
After a brief introduction over a cuppa from 10am, we will put our aprons on and together preserve some beautiful organic produce! You will learn the theory and have hands-on experience of making, we will also explain how to get the most out of your preserves to enhance everyday meals. Plenty of samples to taste and a light lunch are included. Please let us know in advance of any dietary or accessibility requirements. There will be a Q&A session too, which will be joined by a microbiologist, so if you want to know more about other methods of preservation, or tips for fermenting other foods, this is the perfect opportunity. The workshop finishes at 3pm.
