Fancy growing some food? It's easier and more fun to do so in community!

Come and join Thursday afternoon gardening sessions, from 2-4pm, at Food in Community's garden, located at Daynes Farm. Join a friendly group of like minded locals. We also welcome volunteers who would be happy to come and water the plants on a rota on summer evenings. Sessions are relaxed and gentle, suitable for all ages and abilities. Accompanied children are welcome, and when available, you can take some produce home as a thank you for your efforts. We welcome those who want a regular commitment and people who want to drop in when they can, although we'd encourage you to get in touch so we can add you to the garden's mailing list and we can update you with what's happening.

We are growing a mixture of different edibles, some on a market garden scale, using organic growing methods, and also have started a forest garden with a willow structure, and a compost heap. There are plenty of chances to learn, or to share your knowledge.

Daynes Farm is a mixed organic farm with a farm shop, cafe, playground for children and animals to see. It is a lovely spot and very family friendly, with views across the valley.

We are an inclusive and friendly group. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any access queries or other questions. Hope to see you soon.
