Researchers working for Devon CAMHS (Devon Partnership Trust) are planning to run a workshop with us to talk about the CAMHS RISE project, which is all about hearing young people’s ideas for research to improve CAMH services for the future.
In healthcare services, they carry out research and service evaluations to find out what they're doing well and what needs improving. They want researchers to focus on questions that you want answered, so that they know that they're relevant to the people who are most important - service users and those who support them.
They have already gathered a large number of questions from young people in phase 1 of the project. All of these questions will be going into a library for Trainee Clinical Psychologists from Plymouth University and the University of Exeter to access and use as part of their doctoral course.
For phase 2 we would really appreciate hearing your views on the ideas that we have gathered, and see if you can identify any gaps in the topics covered.
Details are as follows:
Time: 7:15pm-9pm
Date: Tuesday 17th May
Location: Zoom
During the session we will be asking you to share your thoughts and hopefully rank the questions that we have gathered in the order that you feel would be most important to investigate. We feel that it is of paramount importance to hear the voices of parent carers, and this will be an opportunity for you to share your views. We will feedback the results of your ranking, and will be conducting a small-scale literature review to see what information is already out there about your top ranked question.
If you are interested in joining us or have any further questions, then please contact us. We look forward to hopefully meeting you soon!
