We’re looking for a compassionate and empathetic Assistant Coordinator who shares our vision to improve the lives of people experiencing the Justice System.
399 people have received life-changing support at our hub inside Exeter Crown & County Court since 2023. With your help, we can achieve so much more.
The purpose of this role
This is a new part time position (22.5 hours p/w). It’s a pivotal moment when someone arrives in crisis at our door. You will be part of a team focussed on reducing the risk of re-offending, giving an opportunity for someone at court to re-set and re-start their life. You will be able to use your people skills to make a real difference, providing practical advice and emotional support for people going through court.
You will work with our many partners to find solutions to underlying issues and reduce the risk of reoffending, especially when it comes to:
… spiralling financial hardship and debt
… homelessness and accommodation
… general wellbeing
… domestic abuse
… substance use
… mental health, including depression and anxiety
… literacy issues
… general court support
… education, training and employment
