  • Do you want to understand what a social enterprise is and how they operate?

Overview

In this introduction to starting a social enterprise, we’ll think about the support and the steps that you may need to take to set up a successful social enterprise.

What will the training include?

The aim of this introductory session is to unpack what is a social enterprise and how it is different to charities, community organisations, or other forms of business.

The landscape can be confusing and full of technical language. This training session will explore what a social enterprise is, allowing you to come away with an understanding of how they operate and key considerations when starting a social enterprise.

You will be introduced to effective tools, methods and networks that you can use to take your social enterprise further, as well as being provided with a resource pack after the training session to help you with your project.

This is an interactive training session and includes space for questions and exploration.

Who is this for?

This session is for you if you have an idea, interest or desire to create something meaningful that will benefit your community. You might want to create a small business to support people, or animals, deliver training or spread positive health and wellbeing activities. Whatever your idea, no matter how big or small, we will support you to uncover the building blocks to create something exciting!
