'Yoga on Prescription' is the first of it's kind as an evidence based, social prescription programme, now offered here in the South West and nationwide.
 
My name is Zoe, a nurse + teacher of the Yoga on Prescription programme, which is available as a self or GP referral. It is taught as a face to face class or online on Zoom. 
 
The programme is perfect for those feeling socially isolated currently because of Covid. Also it is evidenced based for those with pre-diabetes + mild cardiovascular disease or weight loss, 2 current groups who are predisposed to Covid.
 
The programme promotes and focuses on self care, breathing, relaxation and mindfulness and so is suitable for those post Covid and recovering or for those with mild anxiety living through Covid. 
 
I am looking to run the next programme this November 2022.
 
The programme is currently not free, however I am looking to get it funded to help establish the service, which I believe is so valuable at this time. Funding would help with 10 weeks of venue costs, for up to 10-15  people + the manual admin. The cost is £10 per person for 90 mins a week session. Each person gets a brochure to keep too for future reference of the course, with online access to the whole 10 week programme after completed.
