We work to develop food growing spaces and sustainable food growing skills
Zero Mile Gardens developed from a passion for growing food that is good for the people and the planet with zero or as little food miles as possible, and from an eagerness to participate in building a better environment and a fairer access to healthy food. We believe that food makes community, and that the community needs to have agency in the food it grows, access, share, and consume. That is why we are growing with the community beautiful and bountiful gardens that respect wildlife and the planet. Through community gardening, we aim at increasing the communities’ skills to access and grow their own food. By working with liked-minded people and organisations, we aim at supporting food sovereignty and environmental justice.
