Townstal Community Hall is for the community to give a facility & open space at a cost-effective price for its residents. It is a single level modern building with its own car park.
The hall is set in the upper part of the beautiful town of Dartmouth just off the A3122 main road. It was built with funds from Devon County Council in the 1980’s with the aim to support the community.
The hall were handed over to the trustees listed in the charity called Townstal Community Hall Association. The trustees who are all local residents hold TCHA to account for how it runs the hall.
The premise’s day to day running is managed by a group of volunteers with the charities Trustee oversite, all of whom are local residents. All Trustees and volunteers are all unpaid and do this to give back to the TQ6 community. This means all income from the hire of the hall and meeting room is reinvested back into the hall.
This is a community hub where you can hold your club meetings, teach new things to new people, hold business meetings, have children’s birthday parties with height of room ideal for bouncy castles, hold large dinner parties, have a fete in the car park and on and on. The list is endless.
You do not have to be a resident to hire the hall or meeting room, we just ask you respect the premises and leave in good order.
For day-to-day running, we have a caretaker on hand to manage bookings, security & maintenance.
