Adapt to climate change

What is it? 

A local centre for conversations about climate and environmental change:

  • Information about climate change and actions to reduce its impact;
  • Personal and practical adaptations for a changing climate;
  • New opportunities for work and study.

Where is it? 

We are raising funds to construct a sustainable building in the grounds of the  Castle Community Centre, Torrington.

What will it do? 

The new building will contain information and displays in relation to climate and environmental change, staffed by trained volunteers. A range of organisations will be invited to deliver talks and events.  We have informal partnerships with the North Devon Biosphere Reserve with its environmentally-focused partners;  and with Petroc University Centre who offer a range of ecology and sustainability programmes.   We shall work with other climate and sustainability groups across Devon.
