We own grade 11 listed buildings in Barnstaple now used for commercial and residential.

The Barnstaple Bridge Trust are about to undergo a major renovation on our Bridge Chambers building on The Strand in Barnstaple. EX31 1HB. We are involved in a Cultural Development Project in a collaboration with NDC, and thanks to funding from ACE we have an opportunity to transform our building into an amazing Performance/Drama/Theatre space with three breakaway classrooms attached. In the Bridge Chambers there are the original courtrooms of N Devon and our project will use this space to provide a multi-purpose venue and prioritise inclusive accessibility for all. We will have a lift installed and we will expand our disabled toilet facilities' We will also use this venue for conference/seminar/meeting space with a video screen and internet connection, there will be an on-site catering facility in the form of a tea/cafe type concession with outdoor space (weather permitting)! The timescale for these works is to begin in March 2025 and complete March 2026. We will require assistance from volunteers to make this venue successful and an enjoyable place to visit.
