The Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) covers 75 square miles on the Cornwall/Devon border.
The Tamar Valley was designated as an AONB in 1995 for its:
- rare valley & water landscape
- landscape of high visual quality
- unique wildlife resource
- remarkable heritage
- landscape of artistic & public appeal.
Our aim is to ensure that by working together the Tamar Valley AONB is managed in a way that conserves and enhances its unique cultural identity and outstanding natural beauty for the benefit of all the people who live, work and visit the area, now and in the future.
We can't do this alone. Join us on an event, guided walk, or volunteering activity to find out more about how you can help to keep the Tamar Valley special.
