FREE Maritime Community Festival based in Ilfarcombe

Ilfracombe is perfectly located for a sea-themed celebration, so in 2009 a group of local volunteers and businesses got together to create The Sea Ilfracombe Maritime Festival!

The event has gone from strength to strength over the years; attracting local, national and even international visitors to enjoy a vast array of attractions, local food, live music and family entertainment all for FREE over a full weekend.

The festival is organised by volunteers and solely funded by our amazing sponsors and through the generosity of local businesses and hopefully yourselves as well.

All our events and activities are FREE although donations are invited – so please drop some coins into our ‘crews’ buckets when you see them!

Following the huge success of previous festivals, 2022 will be the biggest festival ever!

Over the weekend you will find activities for all ages. The main festival site can be found on the Ropery Road Car Park. There are even more attractions this year around the Aquarium and the Harbour Masters Office plus of course lots of events and activities going on at the Harbour Beach which is ruled by Pirates!
