We offer help, advice and support to our local community of Ottery St Mary and District.

Ottery Help Scheme has a wide remit: we are a charity that reaches out into its local community to support anyone in need. Our main areas of delivery are community transport, a minibus service, one-to-one befriending and bereavement support, memory cafés, a friendship group, a nail cutting service, seated exercise classes, Carer sitting and support as well as a Home Help service.

Our volunteer transport team take local people to vital medical appointments and Day Care services. The community transport service also enables people to attend our monthly friendship group and memory cafés.

All of our weekly and monthly groups focus on activities that develop and enhance social connections; we have several volunteers who attend these groups to initiate and support social interaction.

We offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities for our local community, with support from our friendly and experienced office-based staff team.
