Hiya, my name is Norrms Mc namara and I am the founder of the Charity Group, The Purple Angels Torbay, charity number 1189616 . In this day and age of loneliness and an ever-aging community, I just wanted you to know about our Community cafe we run every Saturday afternoon (except the first Saturday of the month) in the hall we rent each week at Barton baptist church, happaway road, Torquay between 1.30 pm and 3.30pm and would like you to pass this information onto all you know, please.
We have many different things going on each Saturday including arts and crafts, cake decorating (You take the cakes home with you ) singers local to Torbay, games days, coach trips out and of course cream teas as well, and all this is FREE, the entrance, the teas/coffes / cakes etc. all completely free and with things as they are its just great for some people to kick back and enjoy themselves when most other community groups are closed and only run Mon to Fridays.
Yes we are known as a dementia group but we do so much more and working alongside those in the community and helping in any way we can is also a huge part of what we do, you don't have to have dementia to come to our cafe on a Saturday afternoon, all are welcome at approx 50 years and over, so please can you let as many people know so we can work other and help as many as we can who are of the older persuasion as they say LOL
