Indoor Bowls Centre

We provide indoor bowling for people of all ages and abilities.

Bowls provides gentle exercise and is a very social sport.  It can be played at all levels, from a social roll-up with friends to full national and international level competition.  It is suitable for all ages and is suitable for people with disabilities.

We offer regular sessions for people with visual impairments, and have facilities for other disabilities including a special wheelchair designed for bowls use.

We welcome all comers, whether beginners or experienced bowlers.  We can provide coaching free of charge, and for beginners, we offer the first three sessions, including coaching, free of charge.

We have an impressive facility with four bowling rinks, changing rooms, coffee bar and licensed bar and small meeting room.  Our lounge and meeting room are available for private hire, and we welcome groups who want to come along for a social event and a session of bowling, for which we can provide the bar and refreshments if required.  Bowls shoes and bowls are available to hire for a small fee.

If you have not thought of bowls before, why not come along and give us a try?  Our office is open from 9am to 1pm Monday to Thursday during the Summer months (April to August) and from 9am to 3pm Monday-Friday during the winter season (Sept-March).  Telephone 01884 243333 for further information.
