About
Volunteering and Community Officer, Arlington Court, National Trust
My role is based out of Arlington Court estate just outside of Barnstaple.
As Volunteering and Community Officer I am working to make all of the mental and physical wellbeing benefits of being out in nature more accessible to more people.
I help across the teams to provide meaningful activities for people to be a part of the nature restoration work going on on the estate. As well as this I look after a group of Walking Volunteers who provide free, safe and supported walks through our Wellbeing Walk programme to individuals and groups alike.
I currently work with Families in Grief to provide free days out to some of the families they support, and we are looking at ways we can offer days like this to families who are struggling in a variety of different ways.
