Community Coach

Im a Community Coach for Positive People a project with PLUSS.

I will summarise what we do at Positive people. We support people with their development which is normally in the direction of employment.

Positive People is an ESF and Lottery funded project which means that to access our resources, funding, workshops ect there is some paperwork to be completed.

Individuals on project work on a 1:1 basis with a Change Coach to establish goals and create an action plan. They can be referred in or self refer just by contacting us- there is no formal referral form.

Resources available to participants of Positive People include Wellbeing and Training. We work closely with specialist partners who offer their service to participants for a range of things to help with people’s growth, confidence, skills and ability to thrive and flourish.

Being a community focussed project, we want to help people with their unique barriers to help them move forward in their lives.

We have been able to help people with certified courses, mental health support services, purchasing equipment, digital upskilling, resilience and confidence building, and we host engagement activities and workshops for social interaction.

Positive People is fortunate in that what we can offer is extremely. So, to be a positive and lasting impact on your life we try to narrow down what kinds of support you would benefit most from. The more specific you can be in describing what you want and need in ways of support means we are better able to help you.

What would be good for all is to have a call to go through things in more detail and see where you are at and how your dyspraxia and other condition affect you and to get a bit of insight into any qualifications you may have already or experiences relevant to becoming a paramedic.

Hopefully, this gives you a clearer insight in to how we help to support people in the community.
