Recce Strawbridge Youth Centre was registered on 7th Feburary 2022 to provide an provide building/facilities/open Space and Youth Provision for people live in Colyton and surrounding areas.
RSYC objectives:
- To advance the education of children and young people in the parish of Colyton, Devon and the surrounding areas through their leisure time activities so as to develop their physical, mental and spititual capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and that their conditions of life may be improved.
- To support and benefit the residents of Colyton, Devon, and the surrounding area—without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race, or political, religious, or other opinions—by bringing together local people, authorities, and voluntary or other organisations in a shared effort to advance education and provide social-welfare facilities for recreation and leisure, with the aim of improving the quality of life for all residents.
In pursuing these purposes, the charity trustees may establish or secure the establishment of a community centre, and may maintain, manage, or work with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for activities that further the above objectives.
