Dartmoor Nordic Walking; My name is Denise Horner, I have a background in fitness and have been teaching the technique of Nordic Walking since 2014. It is an enhancement of everday walking with the benefit of using the upper body! Dr Michael Mosley has recently suggested it has greater benefits that a HIIT class. We have regular walks on Dartmoor.
Benefits include:
Increase level of Cardio Fitness
Reduce blood pressure.
Strengthen upperbody.
As we are outside, helps improve mental health and promote well being.
It's not too intense so we can talk too!
Reduces impact on the lower body so helps with recovery from intense exrcise, hip or knee replacement
And above all, it is fun.
