I am representing Central Church, Torquay as they begin to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The church is an iconic modern structure that caused a great deal of controversy when it was built. It was formed by the joining together of three churches in the town - two Methodists and one United Reform. Celebrations begin on June 3rd when Bishop Mark Rylands will reconsecrate the Foundation Stone followed by a special service: they will continue until September 2026. I hope to inform everyone as the time passes so that as many people as possible will be able to participate.
