We run our 6-week programmes in partnership with the Mustard Tree Cancer Support Centre at University Hospitals Plymouth.
Our sessions run on Wednesday mornings in Sheepstor, on the edge of Dartmoor, PL20 6PF and are delivered by Annie and Nick, Mustard Tree volunteers. Sessions are free to attend and provided as part of personalised care in cancer provision
We also offer our programme at Penlee Valley Allotments next to Milehouse bus station in Plymouth
Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to attend.
You'll be immersed in nature, have the opportunity to learn more about gardening and growing your own, take part in activities at your own pace and meet with others who are recovering too.
The benefits of gardening are now well established. It improves physical activity levels, improves sense of wellbeing, boosts self-confidence, decreases levels of stress and anxiety, lifts mood and helps to re-focus attention when overwhelmed
We welcome everyone - those who are new to gardening and those who are more experienced. All materials and refreshments are provided.
Please contact the Mustard Tree Cancer Support Centre on 01752 430060 for more information or to book a place or email: [email protected] to find out more about the project.
