We offer a volunteer driver and car service for patients of Chillington Health Centre (TQ7 2LB) unable to get to health care appointments.
Start Circle of Friends (SCOF) is a registered charity in the South Hams. We offer a healthcare and hospital car service for patients exclusively registered to Chillington Health Centre, near Kingbsbridge. This is a rural community and we drive patients who are unable to get to the health centre or to other healthcare destinations, including local and distant hospitals, dentists, opticians as well as physio and podiatry appointments.
There is no booking fee and no charge to use this service. We are self-funding and so do offer patients the opportunity to make a donation for each trip, so that we can continue to offer this much needed community service.
Our drivers are volunteers from the local community and use their own cars (mileage/car parking is reimbursed). Drivers drive as little or as often as they like and choose where they wish to drive to. We are very flexible and do not ask for a minimum commitment.
