Sport Welfare Officer for Active Devon
I work as a Sports Welfare Officer at Active Devon, a community‑focused organisation committed to helping people across Devon lead active, healthy, and happier lives. In my role, I support sports clubs to grow, be more inclusive and thrive within their communities, drawing on extensive sports development experience an supporting schools to strengthen physical education, school sport, and physical activity.
I’ve facilitated and delivered a wide range of programmes, from major multi‑school sports events to long‑term student leadership pathways; always championing the importance of youth voice and creating environments where young people feel empowered, valued, and heard. I like to think I bring energy, clarity, and a people‑first approach to my work, whether I’m leading a room, supporting staff, or helping young leaders grow in confidence. Outside of work, I make the most of the natural beauty of Torbay, especially when out walking our dog along the coast. I’m also a keen hockey player and coach, and I squeeze in a few rounds of golf each year whenever life allows.
