Restoration of a historic garden
The Italian Garden is a community interest company run by volunteers with the goal of restoring this historic garden and its structures, and making it available to the local community as a place of well-being and learning. Aside from the social interaction benefits of volunteering, we support local schools with learning difficulties and open to the public for guided tours and workshops.
We currently raise income from garden tours, plant sales and workshops. We also have some National Lottery funding for restoring the structural elements of the garden.
We welcome new volunteers who would like to support our work.
