The Devon Connect team were thrilled to hear that our platform was recently able to make a difference, providing help to the North Devon Scout District!
By using Devon Connect, a team of volunteers were able to find the North Devon Scout District's request for help in maintaining their campsite's grounds. Because of their kind work, the campsite is now cleaner and safer for when the next set of young visitors arrive! The Devon Connect team is happy to be introducing the new DeVA Quality Assurance badge for voluntary, community and social enterprise groups.
We wanted to let you know that some improvements have recently been made to Devon Connect, which will make our platform easier to use and help members connect with each other and their communities.
We are excited to share the news that Devon Connect can now be accessed from local libraries.
Through initial discussions with Barnstaple library regarding promoting Devon Connect to the general public, it was agreed that all Devon Libraries will have the DC link on their public access computers.
People can sign in using their library card and access all the DC information under the library resources page.
'Devon Connect' aims is to make it easier for people to find local information, access volunteering opportunities and get involved projects and campaigns that make a positive impact in their communities.
DeVA partners from across Teignbridge, Torridge, South Hams, West, Mid and North Devon have joined forces to support the new platform which is free and accessible to everyone (regardless of where they live in Devon).

Trustees' Week takes place 1-5 November and there are loads of support, resources and free online events available to you and your trustees. During the summer the NHS and local authorities have been working with the voluntary, community, social enterprise and independent (VCSE/I) sector to develop a new approach to supporting people with severe mental illness in the community.
Pop in and join us for a morning of supported activities with the opportunity to talk to other people over a cuppa 'n' cake and enjoy some entertainment / raffle.
