BeWell@StepOne's Torquay Wellbeing Walk takes place fortnightly on Fridays.
When: Fortnightly on Fridays from 2pm. Walk finishes at approximately 3.30pm. Visit Step One's website for a list of upcoming dates.
Where: Cary Park Tennis Club, Cary Ave, Torquay TQ1 3QT (participants meet at the Clubhouse next to the courts).
Walk difficulty: Easy (paved paths, minimal inclines and declines).
Distance: Approximately 2.2 miles.
Designed to promote physical activity, social connections, and spending time in nature, the Torquay Wellbeing Walk is a free, bi-weekly group walking activity that invites people of all ages and fitness levels to come together. Led by an experienced walk leader, the walk covers approximately 2.2 miles of easy terrain, ensuring accessibility for all. As participants explore the scenic sights of Babbacombe and St Marychurch, the peaceful surroundings create an ideal setting for people to enhance their mental wellbeing. They can also learn about the range of wellbeing groups, courses, workshops and activities provided by Step One Charity through their BeWell@StepOne service.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance to ensure accommodation and to receive updates about potential changes due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Walk-ins are welcome, and registration assistance is also available upon arrival. Register here.
