The Open Door Support Team understand that life can sometimes throw curve balls. Our trained and experienced support workers provide a listening ear, bespoke help, signposting and encouragement.
Our Support Service Exists to provide 1:1 help, guidance and signposting to anyone in need. Support can be accessed across the week from the Open Door Community Hub.
What type of support do you provide?
We can support you with practical needs such as meals, food and clothing. We also have showers on site and a laundry service for our homeless clients (Mon, Weds and Fri). We can help complete benefits’ forms and are able to signpost and refer to a variety of agencies, depending on need. Anyone can access our support service for any reason.
Do I need to book an appointment?
No. If you come to any of our services during opening times we will do our best to support you, although you may need to wait a little for a support worker to be available. If you need a quiet, confidential space, please contact us.
What can I expect when I arrive?
You will receive a warm welcome and a drink. Our trained support worker will meet with you, take your details and make an initial assessment. A bespoke plan will then be agreed with you.
