Open Door Exmouth is a multi-service charity, that provides welcoming spaces and support across the age groups. The Community Hub is based in Exmouth town centre and delivers services Monday – Friday and some Saturdays, including: A Community Café (Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays (9.30 am – 3pm) serving low-cost breakfasts and lunches, with support and advice for people in need, including housing and homelessness, benefits and financial crisis, food poverty. The Café offers a range of facilities including showers, laundry service, clothing store, Community Fridge, phone, and internet access.
Craft Café (Tuesdays 10am-12.30pm) providing a welcoming café space, opportunities to meet new people and enjoy craft activities.
Parent Hub Café (Thursdays 10am – 12.30pm) for parents with or without their children; a safe space to make friends, receive support, play activities for children and a Baby Bank.
Outreach services include Haven, an emotional wellbeing project based in Exmouth Community College, Toast Youth Cafe (termtime Tues and Thurs 3.30-5.30pm) Men’s Shed (Tues – Thurs 9.30am – 4pm) and a Community Craft Room (Wednesday 10am – 3.30pm), both providing creative spaces for socialising, sharing skills, learning new skills, and working on community projects.
