Drum Devon will be back in Kingsbridge in November!
Earlier in the year we created an awesome community samba band for the Kingsbridge Nature Festival hosted by the amazing Kingsbridge Climate Action team. It was such a beautiful event which culminated in a public junk band jam and a samba procession through Kingsbridge. We felt it would be a shame to leave it there so have continued to run regular open drumming worlshops that everyone can come and get involved in.
In November we have two unique West African djembe workshops at Kingsbridge Community College on the 6th & 20th Nov, where we'll be exploring some uplifting djembe rhythms complete with dun dun bass drums and a range of percussion. These session are accessible and so much fun!
There is no experience necessary and the sessions are open to all. Learn technique in how to get the best sound out of the drum and work together to create an exhiliarating, polyrhythmic sound montage. The sessions are led by experienced drummer and percussionist, James Carr. With over 20 years teaching experience, we'll have you playing awesome beats in no time at all!
