As a grassroots youth football club we always need help. Our committee is made up of a handful of volunteers who run the whole club.
We are looking for volunteers to help us make the club better and that includes help in the cafe, with grounds maintenance, gardening and odd jobs...hope you can help!
Cafe....we have a new cafe in process and our playing fields are a shared space and we would love to open up our cafe during the days when we can't be there. We all work full time so if you have some spare time in the week and want to help....let us know! It provides hot food, hot and cold drinks and snacks. We have a licence to serve alcohol. Training and certifications will be provided.
Grounds Maintenance we need people to help cut the pitches (ride on mower and training provided), strim the sides, line mark the pitches and other manual jobs to keep thr pitches running for the many training and matches we hold. Some gardening of a small raised bed too.
Odd jobs..these can include cleaning, tidying, litter picking and miscellaneous jobs adhoc.
We will support, train, guide and make sure you are certified where needed. Come and help the Green Army be more amazing! ?
- Some information about the Club....
Watcombe Wanderers is a grassroots community football club located in Milber, Newton Abbot and we demonstrate our popularity by the size of our club which is ever increasing, with a high demand for places with our teams. We see ourselves as a family and we not only support the kids, but also their families, providing a great place for many people to enjoy being active together with friends and teammates.
We offer training and development for up to 350 children, across 24 teams. There are 24 teams including 2 girls only teams playing in leagues, a popular Mini-Kicker programme for 3–6-year-olds and a veterans set up playing both 7-a-side and 11-a-side.
