Looking to make a real impact in the local community? Join the “Green Army” at Watcombe Wanderers Youth FC – a vibrant youth football club in Milber, Newton Abbot that thrives thanks to amazing volunteers just like you! Whether you’re into pitch maintenance (lawn-mowing, line-marking and strimming), grounds upkeep (gardening, odd jobs and cleaning), fundraising, working in our café (serving hot food, drinks, snacks – full training provided), or keeping our facilities sparkling, there’s a role for you. No experience is needed – just a willingness to help and be part of a friendly team. We’ll provide all training, equipment (ride-on mower-handling, café licencing, etc.), and food saftey certification where needed.
As a volunteer, you’ll be ensuring smooth matchdays and training sessions for over 350 players across 24 youth teams, plus adult and veterans squads. You’ll enjoy camaraderie, great sense of purpose—and maybe even a free coffee while you’re at it! Whether it's a couple of hours on a weekend or occasional weekday help, your time makes a huge difference. Ready to roll up your sleeves and join us in helping the club grow? Get in touch with Matthew Phillips at [email protected]. Be part of something special – help Watcombe Wanderers be the community club everyone loves!
