Offer your time to support people with a communication disability.

Join us at our aphasia support group or socialise with someone with aphasia in their own home.

 

  • Help support a person with conversation who has communication difficulties (this may be due a stroke, or other)
  • Opportunity to visit people at there home 1:1 for conversation - help improve interaction / build confidence (weekly visits)
  • Fuel expenses provided
  • Supported by local speech and language therapist / regular supervision
  • You are not providing therapy - the role is to support with conversation
  • Training is provided 
  • We work together with Say Aphasia
