About the Role:
We are looking for a Volunteer Website Designer & Manager to help develop and oversee our online presence. As a small charity, a well-designed and up-to-date website is essential for promoting our work, recruiting volunteers, and keeping the community informed. This role is ideal for someone with web design experience who wants to use their skills to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Design & Development – Improve and maintain our website, ensuring it is user-friendly, visually appealing, and accessible.
- Content Updates – Keep information up to date, including events, news, and volunteer opportunities.
- SEO & Accessibility – Optimise the website for search engines and ensure it is accessible to all users.
- Technical Oversight – Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary updates.
- Integration & Features – Enhance functionality, such as adding forms for volunteer sign-ups or donation options.
- Collaboration – Work closely with our team to ensure the website reflects our mission and community needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with website design and management (e.g., WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or other platforms).
- Basic knowledge of SEO, accessibility, and website security.
- Ability to work independently and suggest improvements.
- Passion for supporting a small charity and making a difference.
