We are hoping to start a new Remap branch in North Devon. We would like you to use your practical skills and ingenuity to help people with disabilities live fuller and more independent lives. The role involves meeting an individual who needs our help, then designing and making adaptions and equipment to meet a specific need. Requests for help come from health professionals or directly from the public. We only help where no existing product is commercially available. You will be joining a national network of makers with opportunities for collaboration and showcasing your work.
Are you
- Confident in practical skills, working with metal, wood, plastic, or electronics.
- Able to access private transport to make home visits to clients (expenses paid)
- Able to access a workshop or makerspace
- Confident to meet people and be an advocate for Remap
- Able to attend a monthly branch meeting to discuss progress of projects
